U.S. Marshal Stops Bad Guy With An Air Gun

While on a fugitive warrant search, one of which was escaping prison, two U.S. Marshals encountered their fugitive. The fugitive entered into the room in which the U.S. Marshals were in and was less than 12 feet away. After issuing the command for the fugitive to kneel and put his hands on his head, the fugitive began to move closer to the Marshals.

At this point one of the Marshals who was carrying a Byrna SD air pistol with kinetic rounds, fired two shots into the fugitives chest from about 5 to 6 feet away. After taking two kinetic rounds to the chest, the fugitive immediately dropped to the ground and requested the Marshals call a medic. The impact was so painful that the fugitive believed be had been struck with an actual firearm. At this point the Marshals handcuffed the fugitive and took him into custody.

The second U.S. Marshal was standing with his 10mm pistol at the ready in case the non-lethal rounds were not enough, but fortunately for the fugitive the non-lethal kinetic rounds took all of the fight out of him.

Many people will scoff at the ideal of using a non-lethal air gun in a self defense situations, but more and more law enforcements are turning to the weapons to give them additional opinions. Everyday law enforcement officers are stopping conflicts and saving lives using this air guns.
