10 Year Old Arizona Boy Uses Air Gun In Self Defense

On May 4th, 2022 a 10 year old boy in the city of Casa Grande, Arizona used an air gun for self defense to fend off a 17 year old male attacker. Detectives at the scene determined that an argument between the two boys accrued. The argument turned physical, at which the 10 year old boy used a high velocity air rifle to stop this attacker.

The 17 year old attacker was struck with a pellet from the high velocity air rifle and was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery. The attacker was able survive the incident.

Arizona has no state laws regulating air guns, so legally the 10 year old boy was well within his rights to use the high velocity pellet rifle for self defense. Investigators at the scene are convinced that the 10 year old boy acted justifiably. Potential charges for the 17 year old attacker are currently under review.
